What is Tara WCS?
The Tara WCS is a software package that coordinates field controls, third-party devices and operator personnel in the warehouse to execute high-level material flow instructions from the overlying system.
As a coordinator and command executor, TARA is embedded in the context of various communication partners:
- Users, such as operators, supervisors, managers, maintenance personnel and administrators.
- Overlying or adjected software systems such as WMS, ERP or 3rd Part WCS solutions
- Underlying field controllers, e.g. PLCs or Microcontrollers
- Miscellaneous devices such es printers, PandA devices or automatic scales
- Tara interacts with users via web based, reactive user interfaces to
- drive working processes,
- help in incident recovery and scheduled maintenance,
- and to analyze trends and
- Tara communicates with overlying and adjected systems to receive handling instructions and report progress information and system state
- Tara communicates with field controllers such as PLCs or MCs using low latency communication protocols. It is designed to support directly connected, high speed material handling systems.
- Tara controls additional devices such as scales and printers using vendor-specific interfaces
